Additional Information

The main objective of this remodel was to move the kitchen from the proposed dining room space into the large laundry room, thus creating a multipurpose space. This idea required some very clever thinking from the designer, homeowner, and contractor.

The stacking washer and dryer were put in a tall pantry cabinet, complete with an upper storage area for clothes detergent and fabric softener. Parallel to the washer and dryer is a large peninsula for food preparation, casual dining…and folding laundry. An added feature of the aforementioned peninsula is cabinetry opening toward the washer and dryer and toward the living room.
